thistles

I’m planning to have blue thistles or sea holly in my wedding bouquet. I like the architectural feel of these plants and think their colour is stunning.

It looks great for the groom’s buttonhole too.

My brother is going to a wedding in Spain and received the invitation yesterday. I loved the fact that it was handmade. The bride had folded a page from a wedding magazine to make the envelope.

Does it mean I have been looking at too many wedding dresses when I recognise this a Pronovias dress?

snow-globe

I love the idea of using snow globes as extra special favours for our guests. The best real example of this I’ve found is by newlyweds Stuart and John. They created these fantastic snow globes for their wedding. Would love to know where they got them created.

In the art world, the masters of the snow globe are undeniably Walter Martin and Paloma Muñoz. They create miniature scenes with a fairytale (almost nightmarish) quality about them. Here’s some examples of their limited edition snow globes.

I’d like my bridesmaids to have dark blue dresses and came across this great image of many bridemaids in blue!

dresses

This is the nearest I’m found to the kind of dress I’m looking for. But since it will be winter I want to find full-length dresses otherwise I fear my bridesmaids will be as blue as their dresses!

When my fiance’s friends got married last year, I bought my camera with me to take lots of photos of the day to give to the newlyweds to add to their collection. I recently looked again at the pictures and spotted something I hadn’t previously: their wedding topper.

detail1

If you want something a little different from the usual formal bride and groom wedding topper why not choose something with a bit more of a sense of humour?

Or something with a little more va-va-voom?

Or for the geek in your life how about his own wedding topper?
